Katarzyna Niewiadoma-Phinney claimed her first Tour de France Femmes stage win with a solo ride to the summit of Mont Ventoux, also taking the overall race lead. The iconic Mont Ventoux climb was included in the Tour de France Femmes for the first time this year as the 'queen stage,' covering 146.8km from La Voulte-sur-Rhone. Niewiadoma-Phinney, who had finished on the Tour podium for the previous four years, started the stage in third place overall before her decisive solo effort.
