Mathieu van der Poel won Stage 9 of the Tour de France with a powerful surge to take victory from a four-rider breakaway group, finishing just ahead of the chasing bunch sprint. Tobias Halland Johannessen came in second, with Tom Pidcock third and Alex Baudin fourth in Ussel.
