Tour de France Preview

The 2026 Tour de France, beginning around July 3, features Tadej Pogačar bidding to become the fifth rider in history to win the race five times. His main rivals include Jonas Vingegaard and Remco Evenepoel, both reported fit, as well as Florian Lipowitz, who finished on the podium in 2025. The route is described as back-loaded, with key stages in the Pyrenees early and decisive Alpine stages 19 and 20 finishing on Alpe d'Huez.
