Tour de France Stage 16 Preview

Stage 16 of the 2026 Tour de France, taking place on Tuesday 21 July, is the race's only individual time trial, featuring an 11km uphill course averaging around 4% gradient. Jonas Vingegaard has abandoned the Tour after being taken away by ambulance, leaving Tadej Pogačar leading overall, with Isaac del Toro and Remco Evenepoel battling for the podium positions. With Vingegaard's Visma team now freed from GC duties, more breakaway opportunities are expected in the remaining stages.
