Tour de France Stage 20 Preview

Stage 20 of the Tour de France, held on Saturday 25 July 2026, was the final Alpine stage featuring almost no flat road. A breakaway group of 42 riders including Lenny Martinez (7th overall) and Mads Pedersen reached Alpe d'Huez with around three and a half minutes over the yellow jersey group, where Martinez, Richard Carapaz, and Sep Kuss distanced the others before repeatedly attacking each other, with Carapaz making five unsuccessful moves to drop Martinez. Meanwhile, race leader Tadej Pogačar launched a solo attack from the yellow jersey group.
