Tour de France Stage 9 Preview

Stage 9 of the 2026 Tour de France, held on Saturday 11 July, was shortened due to an ongoing heat wave. The stage featured an early breakaway by Liam Slock, who held a one-minute lead with 10km remaining before being caught. Tim Merlier claimed his second sprint victory of the race, launching from around 15th position with 400 metres to go and overtaking rivals including Jasper Philipsen and Olav Kooij.
