Tour de France: Tim Merlier makes it back-to-back stage wins in another sprint finish

Belgium's Tim Merlier of Soudal Quick-Step claimed back-to-back stage wins at the Tour de France on Saturday, winning stage eight in a sprint finish in Bergerac. The 33-year-old had also won stage seven on Friday, and despite being out of position in the final 500 metres, launched a long-range charge to take victory. Merlier now has five total stage wins at the Tour de France, including two in last year's race.
