Tour of Britain and Tour O The Borders hit Peebles and Earlston

Two major cycling events took place simultaneously in the Scottish Borders, with the final stage of the elite Tour of Britain men's race held on a circular route starting and ending in Earlston, while the Tour O The Borders ran from Peebles. Thousands of amateur cyclists joined some of the world's top professionals for the events, which were held on non-overlapping routes. The Scottish Borders region is also set to host a stage of the Tour de France next year.
