Trae Young reportedly agrees to four-year, $212 million contract to remains in Washington
Trae Young has agreed to a four-year, $212 million contract to remain with the Washington Wizards, according to reports from ESPN's Shams Charania and The Athletic's Josh Robbins on June 22, 2026. Young, who was traded to Washington from the Atlanta Hawks at the trade deadline, had declined his $48.97 million player option to become an unrestricted free agent before agreeing to the new deal. With Young secured as their point guard, the Wizards are now widely expected to select BYU's AJ Dybantsa with the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming NBA Draft.
