Viktor Hovland defeated world No 1 Scottie Scheffler in a Monday play-off at the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands, after Scheffler missed a short birdie putt on the first extra hole. Both players had finished tied at 21 under par after 72 regulation holes. The victory is Hovland's eighth PGA Tour title and his first since March 2025, witnessed in person for the first time by his mother, Galina.
