Travelers to be part of PGA Tour’s new Championship Series

The PGA Tour announced on Monday that the Travelers Championship, its annual post-U.S. Open event held at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut, will be the first confirmed tournament in the Tour's new Championship Series. The elevated series is set to launch in 2028. The announcement was reported by Golf Channel on July 27, 2026.
