Trent found 'closure' at Anfield after Jota's death

Trent Alexander-Arnold has spoken about finding 'closure' after visiting Anfield following the death of former Liverpool teammate Diogo Jota, who was killed alongside his brother André Silva in a car crash in Spain in July 2025. Alexander-Arnold, who had transferred to Real Madrid and was in the United States for the Club World Cup at the time of Jota's death, said being isolated from other grieving teammates made the loss particularly difficult. The 27-year-old described laying flowers at Anfield as an important step in grieving for Jota, with whom he spent five seasons at Liverpool and spoke to every day.
