Two-day London Marathon confirmed with £150m eyed for good causes

The London Marathon will expand into a two-day event for the first time on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 April 2027, hosting 100,000 participants and aiming to raise £150m for good causes. The one-off double event was created to accommodate more of the 1.33 million people who entered the ballot, with all additional income distributed by the London Marathon Foundation to projects inspiring activity for children and young people. The National Autistic Society, named official charity partner for 2027, now expects to raise £3.75m through the event with 1,000 runners, up from an initial target of £2m with 250 spots.
