TWO HISTORIC WOMEN'S COUNTY CAPS AWARDED DURING CANTERBURY CRICKET WEEK

Kent Cricket awarded Women's County Caps numbered 57 and 58 to former Kent Women players Chris Symes and Jill Sellek respectively, following Kent Women's victory over Northamptonshire Steelbacks Women on Sunday 28 June at the St Lawrence Ground, Canterbury. The caps were awarded following research by the Kent Cricket Heritage Trust, which highlighted difficulties in obtaining complete records from women's cricket before the 1990s. Chris Symes, a right-handed batter and bowler, represented Kent Women's first team for nine years from 1975 to 1984 and was selected for an England Representative Cricket Match in 1978.
