Two rank outsiders not even in the world's top 750 lead the Dunhill Links Championship

Michael Stewart and Jack Buchanan, both ranked outside the world's top 750 in golf, share the co-lead at 7-under par after the first round of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship on Thursday, October 1, 2026. Stewart, a 36-year-old Scot, had been competing in the Tartan Pro Tour development circuit as recently as Wednesday before entering the event. Their surprise performance marks a notable upset at the prestigious links tournament.
