Two-time world champion Tete shot dead outside home

Former two-time boxing world champion Zolani Tete, 38, was shot dead outside his home in Mdantsane, Eastern Cape, South Africa on Friday. Tete, a former WBO bantamweight and IBF super-flyweight world champion, was sitting in his car waiting for his gate to open when two armed suspects in balaclavas emerged from a vehicle and fired multiple shots at him. A 27-year-old female passenger was also shot and remains in hospital.
