UCI Road World Championships 2026 preview: Routes, how to watch and favourites

The 2026 UCI Road Cycling World Championships will be held in Montréal, Canada, from 20th to 27th September. The elite men and women will share the same 39.2km time-trial course, which is largely flat with a brief uphill in the final kilometre, while junior and U23 categories will ride shorter variations of the route. At the previous edition in Rwanda, notable winners included Remco Evenepoel and Marlen Reusser in the elite time trials, and Tadej Pogačar and Magdeleine Vallieres in the elite road races.
