UFC arena soars above White House as Trump prepares for big cage fight
A temporary UFC arena is being constructed on the South Lawn of the White House, featuring a dramatic 90-foot tall open-air structure and a 5,000-seat venue with an octagon-shaped cage. UFC fights are scheduled for June 14, which coincides with President Trump's 80th birthday and Flag Day, with an additional 75,000β100,000 spectators expected to watch on large screens near the White House Ellipse. Trump met with UFC CEO Dana White on May 5 to discuss the planning for what Trump has called the 'biggest event we've ever had at the White House.'
