UFC Hall of Famer 'Shogun' Rua, Glover Teixeira booked for boxing bout

UFC Hall of Famer Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua (44) and Glover Teixeira (46), both former UFC light heavyweight champions and Brazilian legends, will meet in a boxing bout on August 29 in São Paulo, Brazil, under the Spaten Fight Night banner. The fight will be contested at heavyweight with a 242-pound limit over eight two-minute rounds. Both fighters last competed in UFC in January 2023, with Rua losing to Ihor Potieria by TKO and Teixeira losing to Jamahal Hill for the vacant light heavyweight title.
