UFC legend Diego Sanchez arrested in New Mexico

UFC legend Diego Sanchez, 44, was arrested on Monday at 5:17 p.m. in Socorro, New Mexico, on charges of aggravated driving under the influence and probation violation. The arrest comes after Sanchez was sentenced to five years of supervised probation in March following a July 2025 incident in which he fired a loaded gun from a moving vehicle on a highway. Sanchez, who competed 22 times in the UFC between 2005 and 2022 and was a cast member of The Ultimate Fighter Season 1, had previously attributed his behavior to substance abuse and mental health issues.
