Ian Machado Garry is set to face welterweight champion Islam Makhachev at UFC 330 on August 15th, a fight officially announced last Wednesday after months of speculation. Garry, considered a significant underdog, has stated in an Instagram video that he does not believe Makhachev has many weaknesses, but expressed confidence in his ability to challenge the champion on his own terms. The Irishman previously fought Belal Muhammad in Doha, Qatar, in November 2025.
