UK Athletics Ltd has pleaded guilty to corporate manslaughter following the death of Paralympian Abdullah Hayayei, a 36-year-old father-of-five from the UAE, who was fatally struck by a metal pole during shot put training at Newham leisure centre in east London on 11 July 2017. Keith Davies, 79, who was then head of sport for the 2017 World Paralympic Athletics Championships, also admitted a health and safety charge.
