UK Athletics: Wightman takes title as Calvert beats Muir to gold again

At the UK Athletics Championships in Birmingham, Scotland's Jake Wightman claimed a gold medal while Sarah Calvert, 24, from Livingston AC, won the women's 1500m for the second consecutive year. Calvert again beat fellow Scot Laura Muir, the 2020 Olympic silver medallist, in a sprint finish following a slow-paced race. Muir, 33, was outsprinted in the closing stages, finishing second to her compatriot.
