University of Arkansas will discontinue men's and women's tennis programs

The University of Arkansas announced on April 24 that it will discontinue both its men's and women's tennis programs at the end of the 2026 spring season. The decision was recommended by Athletic Director Hunter Yurachek and approved by Chancellor Charles Robinson, with the UA System President and Board of Trustees also notified. Current tennis athletes will retain their scholarships through the completion of their degree programs, and Arkansas will sponsor 17 sports following the change.
