US cricket player Reddy receives eight-year ban for match-fixing

US cricket player Akhilesh Reddy, 26, has been handed an eight-year ban by the International Cricket Council (ICC) after being found guilty of three offences under the sport's anticorruption code. The ICC's Anti-Corruption Tribunal determined that Reddy attempted to fix or improperly influence matches and tried to involve another player in corrupt activity during the Abu Dhabi T10 League competition in November. Reddy had been provisionally suspended since being charged in November, and the ban was formally announced on 3 August 2026.
