US Olympian Meghan Duggan leaves NHL Devils to take over as GM of PWHL expansion team in Hamilton

Three-time U.S. Olympian Meghan Duggan is leaving her player development role with the NHL's New Jersey Devils to become general manager of the PWHL's expansion franchise in Hamilton, Ontario, it was announced on Friday, May 22, 2026. Her hiring fills three of the four expansion team GM positions in the PWHL. The league was also expected to announce the GM for its new San Jose, California franchise later the same day.
