Usain Bolt registers to play for non-league team

Usain Bolt, the eight-time Olympic champion and world record holder in the 100m and 200m, has registered to play for Wythenshawe FC Veterans over-35s, a non-league Sunday league team in Manchester competing in the Cheshire Veterans League. The 40-year-old appears on the squad list on the FA Full-Time website, alongside former top-level professionals including Danny Drinkwater, Antonio Valencia, and Emile Heskey, with the team managed by ex-Manchester City midfielder Stephen Ireland. Bolt previously attempted a professional football career with Australian side Central Coast Mariners after retiring from athletics in 2017.
