Usyk vs Rico: Oleksandr Usyk champion weighs career-heavy 16st 9lb for fight against Rico Verhoeven

Heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk weighed in at a career-heaviest 16st 9lb (106kg) ahead of his WBC title defence on Saturday in Egypt, held at the foot of the pyramids of Giza. Despite being at his heaviest, Usyk still gave up 25lb to challenger Rico Verhoeven, the kickboxer-turned-boxer. Usyk, unbeaten in 24 professional fights, faces Verhoeven who has only one professional boxing bout to his name, a win in 2014.
