Van Bommel appointed Belgium head coach

Belgium have appointed former Netherlands captain Mark van Bommel as their new head coach. Van Bommel has signed a contract that runs through to Euro 2028. The appointment marks a significant managerial role for the ex-midfielder, who previously managed PSV Eindhoven and Wolfsburg.
