Vancouver Whitecaps transfer USMNT's Sebastian Berhalter to Middlesbrough

Vancouver Whitecaps FC have transferred 25-year-old US international midfielder Sebastian Berhalter to EFL Championship club Middlesbrough FC for a reported $2 million fee, the club announced Tuesday. Vancouver retain a sell-on percentage in the deal. Berhalter, who had been contracted through the 2026 MLS season, represented the USMNT this summer.
