Vendee Globe winner Dalin dies aged 42

French sailor Charlie Dalin has died at the age of 42 following a long battle with cancer. Dalin was undergoing cancer treatment during his record-breaking victory in the most recent Vendee Globe solo round-the-world sailing race. He continued competing at the highest level despite his illness before passing away.
