Venetian Sun shines at Royal Ascot as Brighton’s Bloom lands another bargain
Venetian Sun, owned by Brighton FC chairman Tony Bloom and ridden by Ryan Moore, won the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot, claiming a Group One victory. The filly was purchased for just 240,000 guineas (approximately £252,000) at Tattersalls' Book 1 sale in October 2024, and has now earned over £800,000 in prize money across Group One wins at both two and three years old. The result highlights Bloom's reputation for bargain acquisitions, having also signed players like Alexis Mac Allister for £7m and Moisés Caicedo for £4m.
