Verstappen admits podium finish in Montreal ‘a little bit of a surprise’

Max Verstappen finished third (P3) at the 2026 Canadian Grand Prix, admitting the podium result was 'a little bit of a surprise' for him and the Red Bull team. He benefitted from problems affecting cars ahead of him but still described it as 'a great result' as Red Bull continues to work on closing the gap to the frontrunners. The race was won by Kimi Antonelli, with Lewis Hamilton taking second place for Ferrari.
