Vini Jr. red-carded for hair pull after VAR rules out goal in Madrid win

Vinícius Júnior came off the bench in the 52nd minute during Real Madrid's LaLiga match against Villarreal on Saturday, with Yan Diomande having opened the scoring at the Bernabéu. Vinícius appeared to make it 2-0 by converting Jude Bellingham's pass, but VAR ruled the goal out after footage showed he had pulled Villarreal's Nathan Saliba's hair in the build-up. Referee Isidro Díaz de Mera then issued Vinícius a straight red card, reducing Real Madrid to 10 men, just over 20 minutes after his introduction.
