Vuelta a Espana 2026: Enric Mas takes title, Matthew Brennan misses sixth stage win

Spain's Enric Mas clinched the 2026 Vuelta a Espana overall title on the final day of the race. Britain's Matthew Brennan, who had won five stages during the race, finished fourth on the closing 112km stage in Granada, narrowly missing a record sixth debut Grand Tour stage victory. Overwhelming pre-race favourite Tadej Pogacar had abandoned the race on stage eight after a crash that required surgery for multiple injuries.
