Wales beat 10-man Norway for 1st win in 2026

Wales beat Norway 2-1 in a UEFA Nations League A match in Cardiff on 1 October 2026, claiming their first win of 2026 after nine matches in the top tier spanning two campaigns. Daniel James equalised in the 38th minute after Oscar Bobb's early opener, before Neco Williams sealed the victory with a free-kick in the 48th minute following Torbjørn Heggem's straight red card for denying a goalscoring opportunity. The result relieves pressure on Wales manager Craig Bellamy and ended a run of one draw and seven defeats in Nations League A.
