Wales sports minister meets with WRU after fans fears

Wales' sports minister Heledd Fychan met with the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) to address concerns over a growing disconnect between the governing body and supporters. The WRU has reaffirmed its plan to reduce professional men's teams, with either the Scarlets or Ospreys set to be eliminated by 2028. Fychan acknowledged that while the Welsh government has no direct authority over the WRU as an independent organisation, she sought to raise fans' fears at the meeting.
