Washington golf pro leads after Day 1 of PGA Professional Championship

Austin Hurt, the head golf professional at Wing Point Golf & Country Club in Bainbridge Island, Washington, shot an 8-under 64 on the Bandon Dunes course to take the opening-round lead at the PGA Professional Championship on Sunday, April 27, 2026. The tournament is being held at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Oregon from April 26-29, with the Bandon Dunes course used for three of the four rounds. Hurt, the 2023 and 2025 Pacific Northwest PGA Professional Champion, credited his extensive experience at the resort as a key factor in his strong opening round.
