WBO and IBF Form Alliance to Counter Zuffa Boxing

The World Boxing Organization (WBO) and International Boxing Federation (IBF) have announced they will hold their first-ever joint convention from December 9–13, 2026, at the Caribe Royale in Orlando, Florida. IBF president Daryl Peoples cited Zuffa Boxing as a central concern driving the collaboration, noting the two organizations share approximately 85 percent of their membership. WBO president Gustavo Olivieri joined Peoples in concluding that the bodies could jointly address issues including judging, refereeing, and sport administration, with the announcement made as the IBF closed its 41st convention in Vietnam.
