Welsh rugby player dies suddenly aged 32 as club rocked by second tragedy
Ryan Jones, 32, nicknamed 'Bonesy', a rugby player at Hollybush RFC in New Tredegar, south Wales, died suddenly on Sunday, June 8, 2026. A father of three, he was also a referee for the children's section at Bargoed RFC and a football coach at Pengam. His death marks the second tragedy for Hollybush RFC in under two years, following the death of teammate Lee David Southall, 36, who collapsed during a training session on June 11, 2024.
