Wemby scores season-best 43 points on career-high 34 shots

Victor Wembanyama scored a season-high 43 points on a career-high 34 shot attempts to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 121-111 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday. The 22-year-old Frenchman also added five blocks, becoming the first Spur since David Robinson in 1996 to record at least 40 points and five blocks in a single game, and the first player league-wide to do so since Joel Embiid in 2022. It marked the first time San Antonio won a game in which Wembanyama attempted 30 or more shots.
