Werro joins Broeders-Bol for 800m clash in Ostrava

Swiss 22-year-old Audrey Werro has been added to the women's 800m field at the Ostrava Golden Spike, a World Athletics Continental Tour Gold meeting scheduled for 16 June 2026. Werro arrives in strong form after clocking 1:53.98 in Stockholm to move to No.3 on the world all-time list for the event. She will face two-time world champion Femke Broeders-Bol, who will contest her first outdoor 800m after switching focus to the distance, while world and Olympic 100m champion Noah Lyles is also set to race Australian teenager Gout Gout in the 150m.
