West Brom hit with points deduction for breaches
West Bromwich Albion have been docked two points by the EFL after an independent panel found they breached the Championship's financial rules by exceeding permitted losses of £39 million over the three-year period ending in the 2024-25 season. The deduction leaves Albion six points above the relegation zone with two matches remaining, meaning they could still be caught if results go against them. The club has disputed the findings, stating it believes it fully complied with the Profitability and Sustainability rules, and is considering an appeal.
