West Cumbrian reflects on her first race in England vest at Loughbrough International

Ava Leadbetter, a 20-year-old athletics star from Hensingham, West Cumbria, competed for England in the 3000 metres at the Loughborough International on Sunday, marking her first race in an England vest. The Loughborough International is a key early outdoor athletics season event featuring competitors from Loughborough Students, Wales, Scotland, and the GB & Northern Ireland under-20s. Leadbetter recorded a personal best during the race, competing against athletes including Scotland's Kirsty Walker.
