Whirlwhind year from Wolverhampton to Hong Kong for Leger heroine Osborne

Jockey Saffie Osborne, 24, had a remarkable 2024 season that began with a last-place finish on a 150-1 outsider at Wolverhampton in January and culminated in a historic victory aboard Highwayman in the St Leger in September — becoming the first female jockey to win a British Classic. She also achieved her first top-10 finish in the Flat jockeys' championship. Her outstanding year has earned her 10 rides at the prestigious Sha Tin racecourse in Hong Kong on Sunday.
