Whittaker survives late scare to hold on for points win over Wallace

British light-heavyweight boxer Ben Whittaker defeated Conor Wallace by points decision at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham. The 29-year-old Whittaker, a 2020 Tokyo Olympics silver medallist, dominated much of the bout with his technical skills before Wallace mounted a dramatic late comeback, rocking Whittaker in the 10th round. The victory moves Whittaker closer to a world-title shot.
