Why Gasly podium hearing will take place in private

The FIA International Court of Appeal will hold a private hearing on August 25 at its Paris headquarters regarding Pierre Gasly's podium reinstatement at the 2026 Monaco Grand Prix. Gasly was awarded third place after Alpine successfully appealed a pitlane speeding penalty, with Formula One Management admitting errors in pitlane speed measurements. Both Red Bull, whose driver Isack Hadjar had originally been classified third, and McLaren, whose driver Oscar Piastri had also served a speeding penalty, have appealed the reinstatement decision.
