Why Kendrick Perkins told Ja Morant to make Grizzlies ‘pay’ in revenge game

NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins has encouraged Ja Morant to put on a strong performance against his former team, the Memphis Grizzlies, in what would be a revenge game. Morant, now playing for the Portland Trail Blazers, has helped the team start the 2026-27 season at 3-0, showing the explosive form he was known for during his time in Memphis. The Blazers' next game is scheduled against the Grizzlies, setting the stage for Morant's highly anticipated return to face his former franchise.
