Why Norris has committed to McLaren for the long term

Lando Norris has signed a new long-term contract with McLaren that will keep him at the team until at least the end of 2030. The 26-year-old British driver, who won the Formula 1 Drivers' World Championship last year ahead of teammate Oscar Piastri and Max Verstappen, has been with McLaren since 2017 when he joined as a 17-year-old test and development driver. The extension continues a partnership that spans nine years and has culminated in Norris becoming World Champion.
