Why wet Canadian GP will be "the perfect storm" for F1
Pirelli's motorsport representative Simone Berra has warned that a wet Canadian Grand Prix at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve could create a 'perfect storm' of complications for Formula 1. The combination of cold ambient temperatures and the circuit's low-energy layout would make it significantly harder for drivers to get intermediate or full wet tyres into their optimal operating window compared to warmer venues like Miami. The race would also potentially mark the first wet-weather event for F1's new generation of 2026 cars, adding further uncertainty.
